Overview
Housed in a nationally registered group of Meiji-era red-brick military warehouses, this museum covers the history of Ishikawa Prefecture under the Kaga domain (Maeda clan, one million koku). The collection includes swords, armor, and fittings of Kaga domain lords and warriors, with extensive coverage of the region's distinctive Kaga metalwork tradition. Also features Meiji-era military swords and weapons from the former 9th Division garrison. Located next to Kenroku-en Garden in central Kanazawa.
