Overview
A museum dedicated to Japanese swords, located in Bizen Osafune — historically the largest sword-producing region in Japan. It showcases masterpieces of the Bizen tradition from the kotō era through modern times. Its most distinctive feature is an on-site forge where active swordsmiths perform live forging demonstrations monthly. Visitors can witness the power of hammer strikes and flames up close — a truly unique experience in Japan. Workshops for sword polishing and shirasaya making are also open for viewing.
