Everything you need to know about purchasing Japanese swords internationally
Select your preferred sword and contact us through the inquiry form. Our specialists will provide detailed information and additional photographs. Once you confirm your intent to purchase, we will arrange payment and insured international shipping.
Every sword we offer has been appraised by the NBTHK (Nihon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kyokai). Grades include Juyo (Important), Tokubetsu Hozon (Especially Worthy of Preservation), and Hozon (Worthy of Preservation), guaranteeing authenticity and quality.
All swords are packed in custom wooden crates with full insurance. We obtain METI (Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry) export permits and include all documentation required by your country's import regulations. Delivery takes 7-14 business days depending on destination.
Exporting swords from Japan requires a METI permit, which we handle on your behalf. Import regulations vary by country—please verify your local laws before purchase. A copy of the Japanese sword registration certificate (Juho Token Rui Torokusho) is included.
Apply a thin layer of choji oil and store in a shirasaya (plain wood scabbard). Perform maintenance monthly, avoiding direct sunlight and high humidity.
