Hayashibara Museum of Art
Overview
A museum housing the collections of industrialist Hayashibara Ichirō alongside heirloom treasures of the Ikeda family, former lords of Okayama domain. Located within the Okayama Castle grounds, it holds the National Treasure tachi signed 'Yoshifusa' and a premier collection centered on Bizen-school swords. The Ikeda family sword holdings constitute a first-rate archive of Bizen swordsmithing history. Visitors can combine a trip with Okayama Castle and Kōraku-en garden to experience the homeland of Bizen swords.
