Nezu Museum
Overview
Founded on the collection of industrialist Nezu Kaichirō, this museum boasts approximately 7,400 works including 7 National Treasures and 87 Important Cultural Properties. The sword collection features the National Treasure tachi signed 'Sanjō,' a masterpiece of Heian-period swordmaking. Housed in a refined building designed by Kengo Kuma, the museum also offers a sprawling Japanese garden in the heart of Tokyo. Internationally acclaimed as a temple of East Asian art.
