Tegai Kanenaga

Description

Founder of the Tegai school, one of the five major Yamato schools. A Nara smith near Tōdai-ji, with itame-hada mixed with masame and suguha or ko-midare hamon. Known for particularly dignified work within the Yamato tradition.
