Description

Maker of Ōdenta Mitsuyo, one of the Five Greatest Swords. Active in Miike, Chikugo province (present-day Ōmuta, Fukuoka). Passed through the Ashikaga shoguns before becoming a treasure of the Maeda family. Holds an unshakeable position among the masterpieces of early Japanese swordmaking.
