Norishige

Description

One of Masamune's Ten Pupils, active in Etchū province. His most distinctive feature is the bold matsukawa-hada (pine-bark grain), considered the most beautiful jigane among all swordsmiths. While grounded in the Sōshū tradition, he pursued a uniquely individual aesthetic in steel texture, also incorporating Yamato techniques.
