Great-grandson of Gassan Sadakazu I and a leading modern master. Carries on the Gassan tradition of ayasugi-hada while pursuing his own aesthetic vision. Based in Nara, he is recognized as a foremost figure in the sword world both domestically and internationally. Holds Mukansa (above-examination) status.
