The Masamune Jittetsu are ten master smiths said to have studied under Masamune.
1. Sadamune — Masamune's son/adopted son. Most faithful Soshu successor 2. Samonji — Chikuzen master. Spread Soshu to Kyushu 3. Nagayoshi — Bizen Osafune. Bold hitatsura-style hamon 4. Go Yoshihiro — Etchu. Master of matsukawa-hada 5. Kanemitsu — Bizen Osafune. Pinnacle of choji-midare 6. Shizu Kaneuji — Mino. Fusion of Soshu and Mino 7. Kaneshige — Bizen Osafune. Solid craftsmanship 8. Norishige — Etchu. Blending matsukawa and ayasugi 9. Hiromitsu — Soshu. Master of hitatsura 10. Akihiro — Soshu. Studied under late Masamune
The authenticity of the ten is debated, but Masamune's techniques spreading nationwide is historical fact.
