A museum housing the treasured heirlooms of the Owari Tokugawa family. The sword collection includes numerous blades associated with Tokugawa Ieyasu, featuring National Treasures such as a tachi by Rai Kunitoshi and many Important Cultural Properties. The collection ranks among the finest in Japan in both quality and quantity. Combined with the famous Tale of Genji scroll paintings (National Treasure), it offers an immersive experience of samurai culture. Special sword exhibitions are held several times a year.
