Seki Traditional Swordsmith Museum
Présentation
A museum of swordsmithing heritage located in Seki, the heartland of the Mino tradition. It presents the history and techniques of Seki swordsmiths stretching back to the Kamakura period, displaying blades from kotō through modern eras. Seki is world-renowned as the 'City of Blades,' and the museum showcases works by master smiths such as Magoroku Kanemoto and Izumi-no-Kami Kanesada. The annual October 'Hamono Matsuri' festival features demonstrations of traditional Japanese sword forging.
