泉屋博古館(住友コレクション)
Sen-oku Hakukokan (Sumitomo Collection)
Überblick
A distinguished private museum founded on the Sumitomo family's art collection, featuring one of Japan's finest collections of Chinese ancient bronzes alongside exquisite Japanese sword fittings. The sword fitting (kodogu) collection — tsuba, fuchi-kashira, menuki, kozuka — represents some of the finest gold and metalwork of the Edo period. The ancient Chinese bronze weapons in the collection illuminate the continental origins of Japanese blade culture. Located near the Philosopher's Path in eastern Kyoto.
