Ichimonji Yoshifusa

Description

Leading master of the Fukuoka Ichimonji school. His magnificent ō-chōji-midare hamon is considered the essence of Bizen tradition, symbolizing the aesthetic of Kamakura warriors. Among the Ichimonji smiths who signed with the character '一' (ichi), he is the most celebrated, leaving numerous famous blades.
