Tanba-Sasayama City Museum of History and Art
Présentation
A history and art museum in the well-preserved castle town of Tanba-Sasayama, housed in a Meiji-era Western-style building. Collections include swords, fittings, and armor of the Sasayama domain lords, as well as fine examples of Tamba ware ceramics and local craft traditions. The museum is adjacent to Sasayama Castle's Ni-no-maru, allowing combined viewing with the reconstructed Ōshoin. An excellent base for exploring one of the best-preserved castle towns in the Kansai region.
