Shizu Kaneuji
Description
One of Masamune's Ten Pupils and considered the founder of the Mino tradition. Originally a Yamato smith, he studied in Sōshū before relocating to Shizu in Mino province. He brought Sōshū brilliance to Mino, creating the foundation for later Seki swordsmiths. His notare-based hamon with thick nie clearly shows Sōshū influence.
